“The Regional Universiade Games” is organized traditionally every year among students from western Mongolian regional vocational universities and community colleges. It was heldlocally at 18^th time in Uliastaicity, Zavkhan province in September 25-27, 2015 which was involved by about 300 student-athletes, coaches, administrations and staff from 7 university and college’s . It is “Khovd University”, the National University of Mongolia in Zavkhan province, “National University of Tuva” from Russian Federation, the Mongolian National University of Medical Science in Gobi-Altai province, the “Khovd University” branch in Bayan-Ulgii province, the Labor Institute in Uvs province and the Polytechnic college in Zavkhan province. The 18^th Regional Universiade was organized in 6 sports disciplines, i.e. basketball, beach volleyball, woodball, chess, table tennis and national wrestling. In addition, there was performed the art festival in 5 types of events.

As a total result of the games, the “Khovd University” /score 186/ finished first and they were also winners of previous year, ahead of the Mongolian National University of Medical Science in Gobi-Altai province/score 164/ while host the National University of Mongolia in zavkhan province /score 135/ settled for 3^rd place.

The Cabinet Secretariat of Government of Mongolia, the Local Governor’s House of Zavkhan province, the Mongolian University Sports Federation and the National University of Mongolia in Zavkhan province co-hosted successfully the Universiade Games. The closing ceremony of the Universiade was performed in Musical Hall of Zavkhan province while Mr. Jamiyantav J., the Governor of Zavkhan province, Mrs. Erdenechimeg M., the President of National University of Mongolia in Zavkhan province and Mrs. Erdenetuya Ch., the Executive Director of NUSF Mongolia delivered their speeches congratulating to the participants.

“National University of Tuva” which was invited by the host university, was awarded as the “Diploma of Honor” presented by Mrs. Erdenetuya Ch., the Executive Director of NUSF Mongolia. Also, Mr. BatsaikhanKh, Executive Committee member of NUSF Mongolia granted awards of Mongolian Youth Union and Mongolian Students Union to the best student athletes and teachers. Moreover, local students delivered their speeches on the topic “Facing problems and development ways on programs of physical culture education” in the scope of conference and administrators of regional universities and community colleges shared their minds about university sports at the level of western region as well as student-miss contest was arranged successfully.

The MSSF flag was handled to Mongolian National University of Medical Science at Gobi-Altai province which will host the next edition in end the September of 2016. At the same time, representatives from “Khovd University” received a right to organize the regional Universiade games in 2017.

It was significantly happened during the 50^th Anniversary of Mongolian student-athletes participated for the Summer Universiade at the first time since 1965. Finally, student athletes and coaches expressed their sincere gratitude to the organizations, sponsor and sports federations in collaboration with NUSF Mongolia and the National University of Mongolia in Zavkhan province.
